This is simply based on my experiences, observations and the things I have been taught.
There is a much deeper structure to what we perceive as the human body and what we know as human anatomy. T
Here I will touch on the 3 main stages and what I know about them. If you want to, add in more to this if you have a much broader understanding of it.
Spirit
What I know about this stage is very basic. I understand that there is probably far more to it than what I'm about to express, and I'm sure there are many of you out there who may have more profound experiences that can explain this stage with more detail.
What I understand about this stage is that Spirit is the original source of energy that eventually transformed into all the things we sense with our physical bodies and our invisible bodies. All things, living and non-living possess spirit.
Spirit acts as the driving force, or the power plant of the universe, and without it nothing would be in motion, like we see now, and take shape into the various forms we see.
I also consider this stage to be the closest stage to God ( you may call it something).
In terms of our spiritual anatomy, how this stage interacts with the other two stages is mostly a mystery to me, but what I do understand is that this part of our selves is the side that works directly with God and a side of us that wants to act on a much higher purpose; this is the side of us that tells us, in the deepest parts of our thoughts, not to do something because of the negative consequences, even though sometimes we don't listen to it.
This side is the very core of us all, and it is what drives us to strive for and do the things that will help us play our role in the universe and achieve our purpose.
Soul
The soul is the seat of our ego, or our personality, and it is also the place where ALL of our memories and knowledge are stored. Our brains can only store a finite amount of information, but everything else is stored in the soul. Some of these lost memories may manifest themselves through spiritual experiences like dreams and visions, but I digress.
This is the side of us that is affected by the experiences we have in the physical world and it's development is based on the experiences we have in the physical world.
This is also the side that acts as the energy source, or the battery of the body; without the soul, the body wouldn't even function and develop.
The soul is an energy source that directly works with our nervous system and triggers it to life. The source is the source of all thought and action. It's the initial form of the electric signals we see manifest in our nerves that trigger our physical body's actions and thoughts. This is the energy source that excites the particles in our bodies to create those electric signals.
From what I have read on near death experiences, the soul is, like the physical body, not something we permanently host. Our true form is spirit.
Body
The body acts as the vehicle for the soul and spirit. It is the vehicle that allows the spirit to act out its purpose in the physical world by using the the knowledge and experience stored in the soul.
But it is also the side of us that allows us to survive in the physical world. All of the instincts needed for the survival of the individual and a race are stored in the physical body such as, sexual desire, hunger, fear (Yes fear. Sometimes it can be helpful), emotions, sleep etc. Without these instincts, we would not make it very far and we would wipe ourselves off this planet; this would cause the spirit to not be able to complete it's main objective.
And like the soul, the body is not a permanent host for the spirit, and it eventually ages a dies.
